Toronto has a debt load of approximately 3.5 billion dollars and the cost to service this debt is over 113 million a year. These numbers might seem incredibly high especially since it is the taxpayers that are paying for it! Paul would like to look at ways to reduce overall debt and work towards having cash reserves for the City of Toronto down the road. Mississauga was able to accomplish this, why not Toronto?
